dancing on clouds

Firstly, I like to thank everyone who thinks my blog is worth visiting or following...  and those who leave comments ... I am always visiting you but, most times I don´t have time to comment...

I did this one without a prior sketch, and took me like half an hour to finish, so I think of it as a warm up exercise, when I do a piece of fruit it takes much less time than that..

I focused here on some details and faded a few areas to add interest and to give the illusion of movement as she is dancing and literally flying...I hope you like it...

Getting in a loose mood

My favourite style to loosen p is wet into wet ... it really makes me work in a fun way and especialy when I use stronger colours it just works so well. I really soak the paper thoroughly for a few minutes and lay it on a plexiglass board so it doesn´t buckle ...then I just paint on the blank paper

Really ... sometimes I am in a mood that requires this style, it is so rewarding and never fails to produce some of my favourite pieces, still lifes and animal portraits lend themselves to this style so well

more figures

Figues and people just draw me like a magnet to look at people i a coffee shop or a mall, and watch the light catch a colour in the hair or the skin tone ad transrer the scee into a magical hing that begs to be painted, at the same time catch a special emotional moment at the same time ...   Usually I start without a sketch and a very diluted wash and drop in colours ... and have so much fun

PARIS

For me Paris is a very beautiful lively city with  art and artists everywhere good food and lots to see and enjoy
I have some of my best memories there...
When Scatty hosted the WDE on Wetcanvas last weekend I couldn´t resist painting many of the references ... Here are  some of the street scenes and architecture

Still life

Hi Eveybody
I like to share with you a few paintings done for the WDE challenge on Wetcanvas from images posted by IslanderNL these were done a bit loosely and I was trying to catch the highlights and deep shadows, not an easy thing since I work without sketching and it gives me a lot of freedom sometimes I spot a mistake and cannot resist going back in to fix it, big mistake when you are working in watercolours
